Dr. Sandra Brener

Originally from Buenos Aires Argentina, Dr. Sandra Brener and her family have lived in Florida since 2002. Here, she and her husband are raising their two young boys and they love every minute of it!

After taking some time to learn about the American culture, Dr. Brener decided it was time to go back to her first love: dentistry. She applied for a teaching position at the prestigious Nova Southeastern University, College of Dental Medicine. She has been teaching pediatric dentistry since she finished her Master’s Degree, first at the University of Buenos Aires, then at Nova Southeastern University.

Dr. Brener was the Director of the “Introduction to Pediatric Dentistry” course for dental students and “Primary Preventive Dentistry” course for pediatric dental residents until February 2016.

Dr. Brener completed her Master’s in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Buenos Aires in 1996. In 2008, she graduated from an Accredited Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program at Nova Southeastern University. During this time, Dr. Brener provided specialized treatments for patients at Miami Children’s Hospital, Broward General Medical Center, Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and NSU Dental Clinics. This dual training forms her unique approach to dentistry, which is very conservative and non-aggressive in regards to behavior management techniques.

Dr. Brener’s research studies have been awarded by Healthy Smiles Healthy Children Foundation and by Nova Southeastern University, and she has been honored to present her studies at national and international conferences. Dr. Brener’s most recent publication was featured in one of the most prestigious dental journals, the Journal of the American Dental Association.

Dr. Brener successfully completed the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry certification process and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Brener is thoroughly trained and certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support and CPR. She and her team are committed to providing their patients with the safest care possible.
Besides Dentistry, Dr Brener is passionate about healthy nutrition and an active lifestyle and she will make sure to promote those at every visit.

Dr. Yamila Garber

Dr. Yamila Garber was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and grew up in South Florida. She completed her undergraduate studies at The University of Florida (GO GATORS!) where she received her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She went on to complete a Masters in Biomedical Science at Barry University. Dr. Garber earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. After Dental School, she completed her pediatric dental residency at NYU Langone Hospital in Tampa, FL.

Dr. Garber is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), American Dental Association, Hispanic Dental Association, and Florida Dental Association. Dr. Garber actively advocates for children’s oral health, having participated in the AAPD’s Annual Lobby Day in Washington D.C.

Dr. Garber’s passion for pediatric dentistry started long ago when she shadowed Dr. Brener as a pre-dental student. She was immediately drawn to Dr. Brener’s kind patient interactions and high quality of care. Dr. Garber’s practice philosophy includes taking extra time to get to know every one of her patients and making each experience a fun and positive one.

In her free time she enjoys staying active by dancing tango, spending time with her family, and traveling with her husband. Dr. Garber is excited to return to South Florida where she plans on making a positive impact in her community and in the field of dentistry.  Dr. Garber truly believes she has the best job in the world!
